Welcome to Carondelet’s Historic Center, home of the Carondelet Historical Society. We are located in the former Des Peres School, home of the first publicly funded, continuously operating kindergarten in the United States. Our mission is to perpetuate the history of the Carondelet neighborhood as well as Susan Blow, the founder of the Des Peres School. We hope you enjoy our site and visit us soon.
